Clear Style Journal

Write for us

Clear Style Journal welcomes considered pitches about personal style, colour, proportion, wardrobe choices and the visual language of clothes. We look for ideas that help general readers see a clothing choice in a new way and make their own decisions with greater confidence.

What makes a good pitch

Send a focused proposal with a working headline, the central question or idea, the intended reader and a short account of how the piece would unfold. Explain what makes the angle distinct from familiar style advice. A good pitch is specific enough to picture, but broad enough to serve readers beyond one personal wardrobe or occasion.

What we are looking for

We are interested in clear explainers, thoughtful comparisons, careful examinations of common style assumptions and useful planning pieces. Ideas should be original, grounded in details a reader can recognise and written without turning taste into a command. We do not seek product roundups built around buying more, unsupported claims or pieces that require professional advice.

Sending a proposal

Send pitches through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a brief description of your relevant experience with the subject, without treating credentials as a substitute for a strong idea. Do not send a complete draft unless we request one; an outline and a clear angle are enough for an initial proposal.
